Are You Listening?

Meeting new people can bring on a whole host of anxieties. We wonder if the personal philosophies of others are based on things of the Spirit, like love, respect  and fairness. But, the bible gives us a simple solution to calm our fears. Jesus says you can identify a tree by the fruit it produces and more specifically, people will always reveal who they are by what comes out of their mouth. The question is: are you listening?

Prayer for Today: Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of wisdom. Thank you that Your word is full of power and instruction. Please help me to be a better listener. Please help me to be attentive and sensitive to the intentions of others. Allow me to speak from a clean heart, for out of it flows the issues of life. Let me produce good fruit, today and always. In Jesus; name. Amen.
